Sometimes I feel like I’m living a double life.
Weekends: life revolves around the kids
- Unplanned
- Can be relaxing, but can be crazy
- Hard to get morning or afternoon exercise, but will take what I can get
- Never no what can happen
- Overall, great times creating memories with the family
I have had to learn (and am still working on it) to just relax and that things might not go as I would like them to go.
Weekdays: life revolves around time contraints and deadlines
- I keep a calendar
- Normally very structured
- Haven’t missed a morning workout
- Evenings consist of similar routine night after night
- Easier to schedule and accomplish things
This Weekend Food:
For Saturday breakfast we stopped at Cracker Barrel on our way to Birthday Party for both kids.

This was a new Vanilla coffee, Too sweet, I even ordered it maple syrup free and still had to have straight coffee added.
Lunch and dinner was a Chipotle vegetarian fajita burrito bowl split in half.
I also had 1/2 cupcake and fresh veggies at the B-day party for a morning snack.
Afternoon snack was fruit protein smoothie.
Sunday meals:
It was a crazy day and I can’t remember my snacks, but we had buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to celebrate some great news we can’t officially share until Wednesday. I had wings and potato chips and my body hated me for that. I guess I’m doing something right in what I have been feeding my body.
Monday Meals:
Breakfast was oatmeal with strawberries, raisins, and walnuts. + coffee
Snacks were Almonds for both morning and afternoon.
I completed no real workouts during the weekend, just dancing and playing with the kids.
Today, I completed a strength training mix with my boss and boss’s boss. Very interesting workout and tough, but felt great.
Weekend FLAM dollars:
- Saturday = $9,600
- Sunday = $8,300
Today’s FLAM dollars = $15,300

Wake up has been consistant during work days at 5am. The 25min earlier wake up time doesn’t seem to effect me too much. Sure there are day’s I don’t want to get out of bed, but I had those day when my alarm was set for 5:25am.
Doing yoga has become a routine, I don’t have to think about. I just do it. Today my shoulders were sore afterwards, I may have pushed them too hard. The run I completed later in the day actually helped the sore shoulder issue, but my legs were tired.
Today I enjoyed the day and forgot to take any pictures (still working on that habit). For breakfast I had the usual egg, spinach, tomato on rye sandwich.
I worked for only a couple of hours and then went to the doctor to have blood drawn. Not to exciting but relaxing to have a moment away from work, kids, and home.
For lunch I brought Moe’s jr Burritos home to DP and I. I had a veggie with whole grain tortilla, black beans, lettuce, tomotoes, guacamole, and onions. I also had a few chips and guacamole. I craved and it and it was satisfying.
I then spent some time finishing a movie with DP, we hardly watch a full movie all at once. Then I went for a 5 mile run. That felt great but my legs are tired now. Before picking up the kids from daycare I made a stop at the mall to use a gift certificate I received for Christmas. I had fun shopping for a new pair of boots and a new dress.
Then I came home to dinner already prepared for everyone, salad for me and warmed up leftovers for everyone else. Finally, after the kids went to bed, DP and I cleaned to prepare for another house showing in the morning. I love the feeling of a clean house but it’s hard to do on a friday when all you want to do is relax after a long week. Now off to bed
FLAM Dollar total for the day: 15,200
